chattanooga trip! // pt. 2 – city & nature photography πŸ™πŸŒΊ

Hello buddies! Welcome back to Maggie’s Doodles 😊 We finish my Chattanooga trip posts today! I can’t WAIT to show you the city and nature photography I took 🀩✨ Click here to see the aquarium and travel pics! πŸš™πŸ

I used the filter Patagonia on RookieCam for most of my TN photos! It makes shades of green more minty and makes blue more turquoise. I’ve been using it for my photography for a couple weeks now because I love it so much! I’m not sure when I’ll get another default filter, since Patagonia smacks πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

I said it yesterday, and I’ll say it again: I’m so excited to do more urban photography! I loved photographing the bridges in Chattanooga and the epic architecture that’s there. Nothing’s gonna replace my love for nature photography, but trying out new subjects is always a blast!

This leaf is almost shaped like a heart! And I love the focal point ooo πŸ’š

We passed this on the way to the aquarium, then I didn’t see it again when we were biking lol~ so I got this shot from the car! I LOVE this wall mural! Most street art is like πŸ€” huh, but I genuinely loved this one haha

I’ve gotten a lot braver around bees because I want to do flower photography, and bees make for cool subjects, too. πŸ˜ŽπŸ’› full respect to the bees for all their hard work, haha!

I love these flowers! They’re one of the only ones I know by name: Black-Eyed Susans haha

I wasn’t expecting this shot to turn out when I took it, but I LOVE it!! I took two similar pictures: one with just the sky above, then one angled slightly higher to capture the trees. I chose the one with trees because it creates a really nice frame!

This one has one of the aquarium buildings in the background, and I think the depth and focal points are really cool!

Some weird aquarium employee walked by and almost ruined these pics for me πŸ™ƒ He said there was a fee for taking pictures, so when I laughed at his β€œjoke,” he just stared at me. I don’t like when people are joking and act like it’s not funny? Anywho

This one’s a bit sunburnt, hehe. I would love to photograph this type of flower in the morning, or maybe late afternoon! Because that direct sun threw it off a bit. Fuscia does better in softer light (red does, too!)

I love these vines with the moss in the background!

I got these pics from the top floor of the freshwater building!

I couldn’t get enough of these views! πŸ’™

This gives me Secret Garden vibes! I feel like you could write a cool story based off it 😍

OK GUYS πŸ‘πŸ‘ I took this pic and just stared at it. Later in the day, I put one more filter over it and it made it perfect. This might be the best photo I’ve ever taken!!! 🧑 All the lines are absolute perfection, the background is incredible, the flower is perfect, and the colors are unbeatable!

These are gorgeous, too! Orange looks wonderful with the Patagonia filter 🧑

I think it’s interesting that with your lines in photos, they either need to be even or intentionally slanted. Depending on the shot, and which lines are most important, you’ll either have a great photo or it will look imbalanced! I feel like the lines above complement the background even at an angle 🀍

The background of this one is interesting! πŸ’œ

I photographed these teeny flowers while waiting for Joshua to grab our water bottles to go biking!

The sky that day was just πŸ’™

I love that the sky on the left balances the busyness in the rest of the photo!

I had to crop this one a bit to even out the lines since there were so many of them, haha! With a lot of my pictures, I’ll take raw photos knowing I’ll crop and straighten them later. I like to balance experiencing the moment with taking pictures, so there are some shots I take quickly to then edit later!

Eeee this one’s so prettyyyy!

THIS ONE πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜πŸ’™ I’m not even sure what this building is but it’s SO pictures

It was kind of hard to decide which of these photos I liked best haha, since I took quite a lot!

The DEPTH tho πŸ₯³πŸ’›

Thanks for reading!
Which pic/s were your favorite?
