chattanooga photography! πŸ“·πŸŒΌ

hello! welcome back to maggie’s doodles 🌟 and if you’re new here, welcome! 🀩 today i’m sharing a bonus post that goes with my chattanooga zoo post!

i didn’t want the main post to get too long, so i saved some of the best photographs to show you today. let’s get started!

chattanooga photography! πŸ“·πŸŒΌ

one of the most interesting things i’ve encountered in photography is choosing which lines will be straight! some shots allow you to make all of them straight; others force you to choose the most important ones. i feel like in the pic above, the most prominent lines are even! what do you think?

samuel found these flowers and asked me to take a pic! they’re a type of daisy. it took me a couple times to get a pic of them that weren’t blurry, because there was quite a breeze!

HEDGEHOG!!! i got to pet one for the first time! they’re not as fun to pet as i would have thought (they really are bristle-y haha), but oh my goodness- just as adorable, if not more so than i thought, in person!

samuel also found this flower! i legitimately thought it was fake because the petals are glossy, but it’s actually a real buttercup! which is super cool

bunny photographyyy! i like how the hay in the foreground is out of focus and the focal point (bunny hehe) is in the middle-right of the image.

ok. the texture of the fluffy bunny, combined with the lighting and bordering of the grass and hay? PERFECTION

so i officially LOVE giraffes! they’re chill, majestic, insanely unique-looking, and take great photos. you can’t go wrong!

my phone wasn’t sure how to identify this one, haha! it’s potentially a type of fruit tree (prunus?), but i have no idea. either way, this photo is about the most wintery one i have in this post! i don’t know why the background looks so chilly

sometimes while on a trip or visiting a city, a particular design or bit of architecture completely inspires me! i do nature and daily life photography most of the time, but i LOVE the epic angles and lined photos you can achieve with city photography!

continuing my theme from the last photo, the ceilings in the reptile / african exhibits were awesome!! i love the focal point of this one, and how the wooden boards descend into the shadows behind the exhibit walls.

this little corner looked super cool, too! the shadows of the trees, the sign, the boxcars in the background- i love it

i LOVE this photo my mom took for me!

these flowers weren’t actually in chattanooga, haha – they were in a city in georgia on our way home! regardless, they’re very pretty

ahhh i LOVE this photo! i wasn’t sure if i’d be able to capture these lights without catching the rocking chairs and guests outside, but i did! i tilted my phone slightly back i believe, which gave the image an interesting angle!

another pic of the front of cracker barrel! the sunset was gorgeous that night

AHHH it’s pinky! there’s no telling how many photoshoots i’m gonna do with her haha

i’m not even sure why i’m including this one, haha, but it made me realize i’d love to take some night city photography one day! this one doesn’t count because we were on the interstate at the time, so my camera couldn’t (wouldn’t?) focus. one day πŸ˜‚

thanks so much for reading! love you guys!

which pic/s were
your favorite?

  1. Awwwww, the hedgehog is adorable 😍

(my little sister was reading this post with me and when we got to the picture of Pinky, she thought it was the cutest thing. She says you’re torturing us by showing us cute pictures πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

  2. Your photography skills always amaze me, maggie! All these pictures here are truly so beautiful! Glad to have connected with you. Your blog is truly so awesome. Cheers! β˜ΊοΈπŸ’•

  3. The daisies turned out great. I love how much detail the picture has🌼. The flower does look a bit fake – but only because it’s really pretty✨. Giraffes might be more photogenic than meπŸ˜‚πŸ˜…. The fruit tree (if that’s what it I) looks so gorgeous 🀩!
I love the photo too🌈. You look so pretty!
Even though the camera wouldn’t focus, I still think the lights look good. But yeah, one dayπŸ˜‚πŸŒΌ.
