#Doodletober goes live in ONE HOUR EEEE 🤩
Hiya! Welcome back to Maggie’s Doodles 💕 I’m so glad to have you! This is the place where I share creative lifestyle content designed to make you smile.
As the summer winds down, gently coming to a close, we look ahead to envision what exactly the next season might hold. New memories and endless possibilities greet us in the great beyond-
Who am I kidding 😂
do I do a poetic intro or a funny one huh
Let’s reflect on the summer while getting excited about the fall!
Note: don’t forget to vote on my blog survey! Voting closes in a couple days
Yesterday morning when leaving for work, I noticed that my surroundings were tinged with pink. I turned around after coming outside and got so excited! Cotton candy clouds!
Look at the teeny teeny moon!
Just chilling up there. Doesn’t this look like the perfect aesthetic background?
Alright, lemme reflect now. This summer had SO. MUCH. to it. And for some reason, my mind fails me a bit at this moment. *thinks for a minute*
I started working at my first job, met a bunch of incredible people, worked on my social skills and multitasking abilities, learned about what’s important to me and what isn’t, and began the journey of choosing positivity over negativity.
It’s crazy how much this summer taught me. Well, my life experiences did that, I suppose regardless of which season I was in 😂
I now know there’s a difference between acting happy and being happy. Anyone can have happy moments, but it’s how you respond in difficulty, when things aren’t going smoothly, when life’s confusing or circumstances change… when you’re bored and sitting alone in your room. Where do your thoughts wander? Where is your focus? I am learning to see the good and choosing a mindset today that will impact my future.
I love being happy, making others smile, and enjoying life, and I quite sabotage that mission when I follow my thoughts in a downward spiral. It’s time to take small steps in the right direction.
You see how this sunrise picture is dark? I lowered the camera’s exposure, which reduced the amount of light coming through the lens. That’s what happens in my life when I see life through a negative mindset: I can’t see the beauty and happiness that surrounds me when my mind’s in an unhappy place.
Woo, this post gave me a lot to think about.
Are you ready for Doodletober? I sure am!
Here’s to taking life, one day at a time. 💕
