my top 10 favorite disney movies!

Hey there! Welcome back to maggie’s doodles, the creative lifestyle blog where I have fun chatting about my life! πŸ’• In my last Disney post, I asked if you guys would be interested in me sharing my top ten favorite Disney movies, and a few people said yes!! (Thanks Corrie, Rayna and Tia!) So that’s what I’m doing today πŸ˜„πŸ’–

I’ve listed my top 10 favorites in descending order, based on how much I love watching these movies now (aka the ones at the bottom of the list are my all-time faves!!). All of these films were my favorites over the years, so even if I haven’t watched one in forever, it still holds a special place in my heart! πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

Note: all of the movies in this post are my favorite animated classics. (I can do another post sometime with my live action faves!)

Let’s get going!

my top 10
favorite disney movies!

10. Kronk’s New Groove

I was OBπŸ‘SESSEDπŸ‘ WITH πŸ‘ THIS MOVIE! And now I don’t even know why I was πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ *goes through screencaps on Google trying to rediscover my love*

OH YEAHHH the Baby Kronk scenes! Those were awesome. So were the squirrels (kind of), and Yzma was hilarious as always! Now that I think about it, the Chicha, elixir, and camp scenes are kinda weird. So I’m glad I loved this movie, but I wouldn’t watch it now haha

and YES, Kronk’s shoulder angel and devil are sheer awesomeness hahah

9. Wall-E

I have one word for you: MO!!! (he’s such a mood)

can I get a gif of him cleaning real quick

thank you. 😍

Anyway – I loved Wall-E when I was 9, 10, 11, 12. (ok I don’t remember the exact age lol) I liked Wall-E’s little personality and I’d spend the entire movie wishing he and Eve would be happy together and get along hah, OH and Wall-E had a really cool house!

Now that I think about it (again lol, analyzing my childhood faves)… it’s kind of a depressing movie.

But at least this screencap’s cool.

Moving along πŸ˜‚

8. Finding Nemo

This was the VERY FIRST Disney movie I loved!! I was like, three. And I adored it. Dory’s hilarious, Nemo’s relatable (I… think?), the artwork is inCREDible, and the jellyfish and whale scenes? *chef’s kiss* Perfection.

Look at this awesome art by April Charisse Tacang!

AWW

7. Toy Story 2

“You are a sad, strange little man, and you have my pity. Farewell!”

(whoops that’s from the first movie-)

I love so many quotes from Toy Story 1 & 2! I chose the second movie instead of the first because Sid creeps me out, and Al doesn’t scare me at all haha! I remember the opening scene for Toy Story 2 confusing me because I was like how is Buzz out in space? Shouldn’t he be at Andy’s house? lol and the BLOOPERS at the end of the film! Absolutely amazing. 😎 haha. I was gonna list some of my favorite scenes, but I really love all of them!

6. Frozen

If you wanna know how obsessed I was with this movie, I got Frozen on DVD for my 14th birthday and I spent the day watching it and belting out the soundtrack haha! The animation’s INCREDIBLE. The songs are AMAZING. Olaf’s AWESOME. Elsa’s and Anna’s dresses are BEAUTIFUL. I ran a Disney edit account on Instagram for a while basically inspired by this movie!

mmm what a beautiful screencap!

5. Piglet’s Big Movie

A Disney post of mine would not be complete without mentioning Winnie the Pooh somewhere! (*realizes I didn’t saying anything about Pooh in my last Disney post**that’s okay*)

I watched all of the Winnie the Pooh movies when I was little, and I feel so fondly toward them now. Piglet was my favorite character for a LONG time, but I’m actually liking Tigger more now! πŸ˜‚πŸ§‘ Piglet’s Big Movie is awesome – the songs are great, the plot is interesting/touching/cute/kinda sad/victorious, and like…

How can you not love that face haha

4. Meet the Robinsons

“DoN’T cALL mE GoOoOoB!”

does anyone else think this doesn’t look like a Disney movie at ALL

the animation and mood are so different 🀣

I just LOVED various scenes! The t-rex, singing frogs, Lewis and Wilbur’s conversations, Uncle Art (can he get his own movie please?? πŸ˜‚), Goob’s backstory lol – it’s great. Unfortunately, the plot kinda went in a weird direction so I don’t watch the movie too often, but I really like it.

3. Cars

Cars was my favorite when I was 6! I loved the characters (especially Guido! πŸ˜πŸ’™), the soundtrack, and basically the awesome way Pixar animated cars to be able to talk! My brother Joshua and I used to have a little collection of Cars cars we’d play with, and I had a Cars poster in my room! I’d totally sit down and watch this one all the way through again because it’s that good!

2. Bolt

I LOVE THIS MOVIEEEEE 😍😍😍 Rhino, Mittens, and Bolt: literally the most epic trio I’ve ever seen. There are so many AWESOME quotes from Bolt and I just love those three characters so much.

OH and the pigeons:

They’re the best πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘

1. The Emperor’s New Groove

YAHHH we’ve made it to my top favorite Disney movie!! This one has stood the test of TIME. I adore it so much and don’t know what I’d do without it. All of the main characters – the Emperor, Pacha, Yzma, Kronk – are incredible and all have hilarious lines, and the side characters are epic as well!

I can’t believe my favorites list started and ended with those groovy movies πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Thank you soooo much for reading! I really enjoyed writing this post, and I hope you enjoyed reading it πŸ˜ŠπŸ’— If you’d like to do a post like this yourself, I’d love to read it!

Which Disney movies are your favorite? Do we have any favorites in common? Let’s chat in the comments!
