snapshots from my week | greenery, chopsticks, & photoshoots

Hiya friend! Welcome to this week’s snapshots post! πŸ˜πŸ’› If you wanna check out the whole series, click here. I hope you have fun seeing all the pics I took!

It’s grass-cutting season again! πŸ˜πŸ’š haha I don’t really mind it: it’s good exercise, I’m doing something productive, and I learn all the important elements of self defense. lol (wearing safety glasses so rocks don’t fly in my eyes πŸ™…, watching out for spiderwebs πŸ•ΈοΈ, steering clear of wasps and anthills 🐜)

The day I took these pictures, I weed-wacked the side-side yard (πŸ˜‚) and all edges the lawn mower can’t reach, then I cut the real side yard. I couldn’t keep my mask on to block out pollen and grass debris because the safety glasses doth fog lol, but I ended up being fine! The weather was nice; I actually wore a jacket when I started mowing, then took it off when I was almost done hehe

Look at all that greeeeeen πŸ€©πŸ’š

I got this super bootiful and cute case for my Switch! There kept being instances where I needed to put the Switch down in the kitchen or office, but carrying the system over hard floor just was not my vibe. lol so I bought this case to be extra careful with it! I’m not even playing Animal Crossing yet and I’m not sure if I will, I just really loved the color/design of the case haha

My whole family and I went to this playground! The spring scenery was very beautiful there too, so I took this pretty picture of the trees πŸ₯° That was one of my favorite parks to play at as a kid (the swings are awesome, there are great hide-and-seek spots, etc!), so it was fun to go back. I got to watch Samuel and the girls have a blast playing and see the pretty nature!

I have a new favorite emoji! Well, actually I love the version that’s on my Chromebook. Look at the turtle! πŸ˜πŸ’šπŸ’š he’s got the cutest little face ever haha (btw I love that my laptop has the emoji keyboard. I’m able to write posts and comment with them instead of only having access to them on my phone, which is awesome!)

I’ve been taking pictures of my favorite bush every so often to track its blooming progression! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ’– The last day of February didn’t have any activity. Then in the middle of March, you can see the tiniest bit of bud action! Four days later, some pink begins to appear.

And then! Are you ready for March 30th?

BLOOM!! I mean BOOM πŸ˜‚πŸ’•πŸ˜

Have you ever gotten your favorite food or drink from a restaurant, but it just hits different sometimes? I literally had to take a pic of this Sprite from Wendy’s because it tasted SO good! 😍😍 also, I’ve been wanting to use that ‘iπŸ’–u!’ sticker on RookieCam for years, but there was never a fitting instance to. Now’s my moment haha

I’m super excited because I’ve been able to buy some cute new shirts recently! πŸ’• I specifically shopped for more vibrant shirts I’ll enjoy wearing this spring 😍 (including the awesome Aristocats tee above!)

Guess whaaaat! I went to the Mall of Georgia on a rainy day last week! πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚ I enjoyed shopping, hanging out with my dad and brothers, navigating the rain… OH and driving us home! This is a super awesome accomplishment for me because I’ve been working on my driver confidence for months, and this was the first time I drove a few different interstates! I’m so happy 😍😍 having the talking GPS on my phone giving directions has really helped me to be more confident!

Hehe I got a Pluto stuffed animal for the girls from the Disney store! I had fun looking around the store, but my favorite part about it was definitely Pluto πŸ’›

Joshua and I had P.F. Chang’s for lunch!! This was my favorite part about the whole mall outing because I didn’t know P.F. Chang had a restaurant in Georgia. Now I know they do! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ The service was great, the spring rolls were INCREDIBLE, my sweet and sour chicken was divine, and the best part about it all? I learned how to use chopsticks! It made me really happy to do that because my previous belief was that I was unable πŸ˜‚ turns out I CAN do it!

I took Samuel up to the top level of Dillard’s so he could see the view from the third floor! We had fun riding the escalators and taking pics of the scary view hehe

There were so many beautiful and comfy-looking clothes at American Eagle! Joshua bought a few things from there, but I had to resist. I’m planning on going back in the late summer or early fall so I can pick out a cozy new hoodie or sweater! If I buy one now, it’ll sit in my closet, making me wish it was cold outside πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

Now I’ll show you the goodies I got from the mall! Like I previously mentioned, I loved looking around the Disney store, but there was only one item that really caught my eye: this dog mug! I somehow managed to find the one clearanced thing in the entire store… and it was the product I wanted πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ I’m like a sale magnet haha

I’ve always adored Disney concept art, so this mug is perfect! I’m kinda glad they didn’t have the cat version in stock, because I would have purchased it too and I can’t go around buying everything 😜

So I’ve been looking at the Funko figures for years. Joshua really likes them and owns a few, but I seriously never saw any that caught my eye. I finally found some that did! πŸ˜‚β€οΈπŸ’™ introducing my two new little friends, the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. I first saw them while watching Toy Story 2 as a kid, and I thought they were funny then, but now I love the Funko versions of them! I can’t tell if their enemies or buddies in the photoshoot I did with them… maybe they’re both haha

Samuel colored eggs! He did a really awesome job with them, and even though I just watched, I had fun filtering the photo I took of them 😏 haha which egg is your favorite? I like the purple/blue one at the top left! 😍

You ever see a ladybug upside down in a bush and you’re like hey, I gotta photograph that? Well that’s what I did haha! I am incredibly proud of my iPhone camera for doing so well with the lighting, background, and everything!! Like I can’t stop looking at it 😍😍😍

Thank you so much for reading! It’s incredible how many unique pictures I manage to take every week πŸ˜‚ I used to think my life was pretty ho-hum, seeing-the-same-stuff-all-the-time, but that’s not true at all! I can see now that there are always fun, interesting, beautiful, and new things to enjoy doing, seeing, and being grateful for! πŸ’–

Which picture/s were your favorite? What did you do last week? Let’s chat in the comments!
