awesome thrift store finds! {pt. 2}

Hi there! πŸ’• Welcome to maggie’s doodles! This is the place where I chat about my hobbies, share my life story, and overall have a great time. Thanks for being here!

It’s time for more thrift store finds today! 🀩🧑 if you enjoy this hilarious series as much as I do, definitely check out the whole category here.

Look at all these figurines! From left to right, we have a fancy lady just waiting for the next piece of juicy gossip πŸ˜‚; a cheerful girl in a pink bonnet; a woman in the background that seriously looks like Jane Austen; another fancy lady; a seated woman waving her arms around conveying who knows what; and a fancy man with his beloved moss hat and violin. Just look at them floral breeches!

This little angel character looks like she just found out that she baked the frozen pizza with the cardboard still attached to it, like 😯 oooooh hahah

Wow, what a fancy… barometer! (almost thought it was a clock πŸ˜‚) what language is this?? At first I thought it was cursive Spanish but it can’t be lol. *swiftly enters one of the phrases into good ole Google Translate* Oh it’s Croatian!! WAIT THE TRANSLATION IS HILARIOUS – *makes an English version real quick*:

Guys. It’s a Serbo-Croatian “legal (mood) barometer” that a husband is supposed to spin to predict what his wife will act like that day. I. Am. Dying. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Moving on to more of our typical thrift store finds, here’s a cool ship! And look at that creative name… “Frigate”!

And here’s an interesting wreath shaped much like how you’ll find birds’ nests in nature! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ (oh wait)

Thanks sooo much for reading! Boy that Serbo-Croatian mood barometer had me rollin’. Wasn’t that hilarious? I had a blast researching for the translation and basically decoding it! πŸ˜‚

Which find/s were your favorite? Do you like thrift shopping? Let’s chat in the comments!

    1. Oh lol yeah it is! It’s set up like a clock but it’s supposed to lay flat πŸ˜‚
      Unless the barometer’s trying to tell me something πŸ™ƒ lol
