Hey there!! π welcome back to maggie’s doodles! π€©
I’m so happy to say that I’ve been tagged for a brand new book tag by none other than Jehosheba! ππ she’s a great blogging friend, and she’s also the author of one of my all-time favorite book blogs! I couldn’t recommend her blog more!
On Rambling Reviews, she writes awesome reviews (obviously π), shares insight into her life, and she just recently posted some of her beautiful photography (check that out here!).
I can’t wait to answer the questions for The Bookworm’s Tag! Click here to read the original post π

the rules:
- Thank and link to the blogger who nominated you (thank you so much, Jehosheba!)
- Include the tag graphic in your post
- Answer the ten questions the blogger asked
- Nominate between five and ten bloggers
- Ask your nominees ten book-related questions!
- Donβt feel bound to these rules
- (Most importantly) Have fun!

1. What’s the most recent book you’ve read? Life Without Limits by Nick Vujicic! Nick writes about how he rose above his circumstances (he was born without arms or legs), found hope in Jesus, and is now living this incredibly fulfilling life. I love the way he writes and talks – he’s entertaining, motivating, and inspiring!
Below, you’ll find a slideshow of some of his awesome quotes! I seriously recommend Life Without Limits and his devotional Limitless ππ you won’t regret reading them! (I’ll write a whole review post sometime lol, because I could definitely elaborate on how much I enjoy his books and videos!)
2. What’s a common theme you’ve seen in all of your favorite books? Hmm… that’s a really good question! I’d have to say a valuable takeaway. My favorite books are ones that either made me laugh a lot, taught me something really awesome, or successfully transported me to a literary world. π

3. What’s the funniest book you’ve read? The Dowry by Walter Keady had me rolling! The characters had such personality π and there were so many scenes that cracked me up. Unfortunately, the author’s only written this book and two others I can’t easily find, so Walter’s now a literary legend to me haha. (Check out my review of The Dowry here!)
4. How often do you read new books? Usually a few times a month! lol I’m only an occasional re-reader, so if I’m reading a book, chances are high it’s my first time reading it. At this point, the only books I’m thinking about re-reading in the near future are a few Shakespeare comedies, and come to think of it, a few Lynn Austin novels!
5. Do you prefer reading fiction or nonfiction? I’d have to say fiction! I LOVE fiction and while some nonfiction books have topped my favorites list as well, I tend to like learning about nonfic topics through articles and videos more than in books. π

6. Who is the last fictional character you related to? (Or the last real person you related to if youβre talking about non-fiction π) Polly from An Old-Fashioned Girl! There were a lot of similarities in our stories about approaching and entering adulthood, making friends, and the desire to live a fulfilled life! So many times while reading her story, I was like saaaame girl πβ€οΈ
7. What’s the saddest book you’ve ever read? Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. πππ how to break my heart {author’s edition}: make me fall in love with your character, brutally abuse him, bring me to tears, and force me to donate my beautiful copy of your book to the library. I’ll never recover. Poor Pip!
8. Where’s your favorite place to read? Currently, on the couch in the living room! However my surroundings have to be chill enough for me to focus lol, and usually Elizabeth and Izzy are running around. π oh well. There are other places to hide out around the house!

9. What’s the last book that inspired you? Limitless by Nick Vujicic! It basically has all of the wonderful, inspiring points he made in his other books. Each devotional is short, yet packed with SO much inspiration and advice! I didn’t know I was looking for a book like this until I was reading Limitless ππ
10. Have you ever gotten to meet an author? Yeah! I met Mark Hall, and he’s authored some inspirational Christian books. I hadn’t even realized that until now (that I’ve met an author), because I met him after a concert (he’s the lead singer of Casting Crowns π), so I was like I met a singer! But now I’m like and an author! haha
my nominees:
questions for you guys:
- What’s a book you thought you wouldn’t like, then you did?
- Which author have you read the most books by?
- What’s a genre you haven’t read many books in, but you want to eventually?
- If you could design your own personal reading corner, what would it look like?
- Do you judge books by their covers?
- Do you like listening to music while you read?
- What’s a book you read recently that made you smile?
- What are a few books you want to read next?
- Are there any books that were recommended to you by a friend that are now on your favorites list?
- Would you rather read a library book or read a book you own?
congrats guys! I totally get it if you pass with this tag –
I’m sporadic with tags/awards so it’s fine π

books I own but haven’t read (yet!)
We bookworms all have books floating around the house, vying for our attention. Amiright? π it’s time these books got some more recognition!
I got the idea for this bookish snippet from Haley @ My Life of Faith! Recently, she shared the books she owns but hasn’t read yet in a post, which you can check out here. I had fun seeing what books she had, and I thought you might like seeing which of my books I still need to read! π thanks for the inspo, Haley!

Books: the Irish book series by Ronan Moore.
Not-Read-Yet Reason: the flow in the books is unfortunately slow. Therefore, when I’m trying to read them, I become all too aware of the fact that I have the attention span of a chickadee. π (I hope you got that reference)
They’re great coffee table books – the pick-it-up, read-a-few-sentences, get-a-laugh kinda read. So I think I’ll read them that way!

Books: two different mysteries.
NRY Reason: I just got them. lol so they’re next on my list! Crowned and Dangerous has potential and seems like a fun series, and I know nothing about Freezer I’ll Shoot except that the title made me laugh haha

Books: a European history guide and a funny pictures book.
NRY Reason: there were a lot of chapters in the Rick Steves book that I found boring (or they were downright violent – hi Crusades, how are ya). Maybe I’ll eventually finish it. The other book, I keep forgetting I own π€£ my mom got it for me for Christmas. I’ll finish reading it soon so I can tell you more about it!
Not pictured books that I haven’t read yet: a guide to Shakespeare and four volumes of Shakespeare’s comedies and tragedies. It’s taking me a while because I go through ‘genre phases,’ and it’s been a minute since I was in a Shakespeare mood lol (but I am slowly reading The Comedy of Errors!)
Thanks so much for reading! I had a TON of fun doing the new book tag (thanks again, Jehosheba!), as well as chatting about the books I still need to read~ haha
Which books have you read recently? Which books do you own but haven’t read (yet)? Let’s chat in the comments!

This was a wonderful post Maggie!! Ha, I donβt own any book that I havenβt read yet π

Youβre very very welcome! ππ I have that problem too lol! I had like 15+ books I didnβt end up reading that got donated shortly before I did this post! π€£ it ends up being better for me to get books from the library haha

Great tag! I liked reading your answers. (and I always love reading about books)
You have like…a very small physical TBR. Mine is…not that small.
