- Answer provided questions
- Tag your artist-y friends!!!
- You may break these laws if you so desire.
What medium do you use in your art? (i.e. acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, etc.)
Sharpies and ball-point pens! I used to be obsessed with markers and colored pencils, but ink artwork is the easiest to incorporate into my blog. So I still enjoy using markers and colored pencils to color, but Sharpies are my current go-to! 💖
What’s your favorite piece of artwork you’ve ever done? (Include a photo)
It’s actually one that premiered on my blog! 😂 it is…
RIGHT??? 😍💖 (ok I’m assuming you love it 🤣) those were included in my 100 followers celebration post last fall! (here)
What’s your least favorite artwork you’ve done, and what did you learn from it?
Hmm probably some horse drawings in the past! They can look scary REAL quick if you try to give them stick legs and a sideways smile 😆 I don’t have any photo proof because they’re in the trash hahah
I learned that with many art subjects, it’s important to use a reference. You don’t have to do it all by memory!
Art flops also remind me to take my time and enjoy the process of taking an art idea I have and making it a reality. 💕
What was the last piece of art you did?
When I read this, it was:
He looks like he just found out he’s gonna get to have his favorite ice cream! 😂💖 (ooh let me know in the comments: what’s your favorite ice cream flavor?)
Who are your favorite artists?
Claude Monet number one, and Georges Seurat (because pointillism is super EPIC!)! Aside from that, I love a lot of individual paintings (like “The Starry Night,” and “Johannes Gumpp Self-portrait” 🤣🤣🤣), but I don’t know too many artists by name.
What is your favorite thing to draw/paint?
At the moment, it’s bubbles! I can’t get enough of their cute little faces and their carefree personalities 😂💕 and the one that’s being made in the bubble wand is always my favorite!
Do you have any art tips to share?
Find your favorite art form and get really good at it! Spend time and practice creating the art that excites you; learn from other creative individuals who are also into art (and make artist friends if you can!); and most importantly have fun! Learn how to translate the cool ideas you have into awesome pieces of art.
Oh, and one more pro tip: you’re not gonna become a creative prodigy overnight. 😂 it really does take practice to be a great artist!
When did you get into art?
I’ve loved coloring and drawing since I was a tiny little kid! I enjoyed making fanart as a tween and teenager, occasionally making my own artwork, and then I started doodling in September 2020! 😍❤️
What inspires you?
Nature and life’s happy moments are my greatest inspirations! I love capturing cheer, beauty, and cuteness in my art. 💕
What are your favorite colors?
I love most pastels and gentle color combinations, but the four above are great examples of shades I find very pleasing to look at! Clockwise from the left, there’s: sea foam green, flamingo pink, sunshine yellow, and shamrock. (Oh, and the beautiful purple-pink primrose I’ve used throughout this post for headings is another favorite!)
Thank you so much for reading! I had fun chatting about my artsy side 😂💖
Congrats guys! You’re more than welcome to do this award, or pass if you’d like. 😂 AND if I didn’t tag you but you’re an artsy person, I tag you too! I’d love to read another artist’s answers!
