1. What is your favorite animal?

nuuuu I love so many

Ok my current favorite are hedgehogs! Look up ‘hedgehog’ on Pinterest – you won’t regret it 😀

2. What got you interested in animals?

Reading books from animals’ perspectives and watching birds in my backyard was the beginning of my love for animals!

3. Do you have a pet?

Not at the moment. But I used to have a cat and three guinea pigs! I talked more about them here.

4. What is your favorite nonfiction book about animals?

Babymouse! wait 🤣

It’s been so long since I read a nonfiction animal book. I used to love checking out different animal series from the library! But I can’t find the series’ names at the moment.

5. What is your favorite fiction book about animals?

Oh this is where I can talk about fiction.

For some reason I thought of El Deafo, but then I changed my mind (then included it, who knows what I’m doing 😂). I’ve decided instead on the Gossie & Friends series!

6. Have you been a part of any animal conservation efforts?

No, but it would be cool to help out someday!

7. What is your top bucket list dream that you would do with animals?

Watch baby turtles make the journey from the beach to the ocean! (and of course protect the wee babes if anything dare challenge their safe arrival)

8. Have you ever dressed up like an animal?

Yeah! I’ve dressed up like a cat, a bat, a butterfly (counts as an animal, right), and a cow a time or two.

9. In the poem, Animals by Walt Whitman,
the poet states that,
“They do not sweat and whine about their condition,
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins..” where the ‘They’ refers to animals. Do you agree?

Hmm… I be no poetry expert or confident peruser, because I’m inclined to say no? Probably because I thought of the group of people to which the poet is making his comparison 🤦 which would mean that the ‘they’ does refer to animals. hahaaa

(my question) 10. If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be and what would you do?

I have two answers for this question. The first is my mythical creature of choice: I’d be a dragon for a day! I’d fly around and spray friendly fire everywhere, looping around mountains and over hillside towns 😄 and I’d be a friendly dragon, so everybody better leave me alone lol.

My second answer has a real creature: I’d be a Carolina wren for a day! They’re adorable little songbirds that love exploring, and I’d do the same thing: explore Georgia forests and be super cute. 😂
