Hello!! Welcome BACK to maggie’s doodles! After eleven days of frosty silence (ok not really; I’ve been interacting with other bloggers lol), today I make my return to posting! 😀 ❤ I am sooooo happy to be back!
I have been excited about Christmas, December, and holiday cheer since… early October, I think. lol because of this, I’ve been coming up with festive post ideas for two whole months, and now’s the time when I get to share them!
In this post, I’ll be chatting about three major updates with you! BRUH. They are awesome, super festive, and a lot of fun! I can’t wait for you to see them!
blogging changes & updates
I enjoy blogging the most when there is a category or topic that unifies the posts I’m doing within a month! I ended up doing this unintentionally in October with my photography and creative posts, and November I had posts focused on organization. I’ve decided that, beginning with this month, I will choose a content theme so that I can really have fun sharing specific posts for a few weeks! Then in the month after that, I can choose another topic to write all about, and so on.
December’s content theme is… Christmas/festivity!
Are you READY?? There’s gonna be creativity, hilarity, and inspiration comin’ at you all December long! 😀 ❤
I am so in LOVE with this month’s design! (Click here to see it!) In fact, every redesign is exciting to me! hehe
The focus on pastel green and miniature Christmas trees looks soooo nice. The featured image color scheme will be alternating reds and greens! My new signoff (which you can check out at the bottom of this post) is my new favorite! ❤
The redesign isn’t quite done, because over the course of the month, I’ll be adding new pictures to the sidebar and pages as I create them. However, the main elements (the background image and pastel green primary color) have arrived!
This is the BIGGEST news, and I’ve saved it for last! I’ve found that doing a doodle challenge every other month is a lot of fun. So, I did #Inktober2020, took November off, and now I bring to you #Doodlemas2020!
For the first two weeks of December, you will be getting a Christmas-y doodle in your inbox (or Reader)! I’ll be doing it in the exact same style as Inktober by drawing the doodles on an index card, taking a picture of them on my clipboard, then sharing them with you, complete with a backstory. The one thing I’m doing differently is adding a splash of color to a small element of each doodle!
I’m so excited about this! I can’t wait to see what everyone else will be doing on their blogs, as well. ❤ It’s gonna be full of festive fun! (what an alliteration, hehe)
