let’s chat about yoga!

Hi! Today I thought I’d invite you to chat about yoga with me! 😀 ❤ This is currently a hobby I’m really enjoying. I’ll share why I started doing yoga recently, my current favorite workout, and how happy I am that this new habit is now part of my daily routine. Then we can chat in the comments about your favorite things about yoga!

Yoga is something I’ve been wanting to do for quite a while! I’m really excited that I’ve been able to pursue it recently in a way that is fun and attainable. I decided to go with doing a yoga workout of Denise Austin’s that I found on YouTube! (You can also check it out below)

What I love about this workout is that I can do most of the moves! There are a few that I slightly modify (I bend my knees less, and hold the pose for less time), but otherwise, I follow everything the way Denise guides the viewer to do.

For the past week, I’ve done this routine every evening. It has felt so amazing to watch the progress as I’ve kept up with this new healthy habit! I have an enjoyable way to wind down before bed; I’m more flexible and my joints ache less; and I look forward to this workout every day now.

I do this workout wearing comfy clothes, and I use the soft rug in my room as a yoga mat! Focusing on my breathing and relaxing into the stretches and poses has been a wonderful mindfulness exercise, as well as a great way to get physically stronger. It really helps me to have activities I do every day that are calming, nourishing, and quiet. I would totally recommend yoga to you!

You can check out different YouTube channels, get to know different trainers, and try out a few yoga workouts. You don’t need any fancy clothes or equipment to get started! I’m finding that for me, yoga is a practice that evolves over time. Just like with anything else in my life, as circumstances shift and change around me, I adapt my old habits and routines to comfortably fit into how I spend my time today. I’m really enjoying doing this one yoga workout right now, and there are other videos Denise Austin has made that I’m excited about potentially trying in the future!
