Hello! It’s a cool fall day here in Georgia, and this is Maggie coming at you on Chickadee Lover Maggie. Thanks so much for being here!
Guess WHAT! I have redesigned my blog for fall! *dances around happily* I’ve been working on it yesterday and today, and a few bloggers have already noticed the changes (shoutout to Haley, Eleanor, and Lrose)! But I wasn’t quite done with the whole redesign when they saw it, so I’ll be sharing all the little (and big) changes I made in this post. 😉
One thing before I get into this post. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO IN LOVE WITH A FEATURED IMAGE BEFORE. The leaf border from PicLab is perfect!!!

fall 2020 blogging updates!
— updated home page. I kept the same basic layout, then changed the colors, pictures, a bit of the text, and added a ‘recommended reads’ section!
— changed my background image! I found the design on Pixabay and I love it so much!
— changed my link/menu color! This really pulls it all together. ❤
— updated my chickadee picture! All I did was screen a color on top of it on the app Superimpose and it now goes really well with my new color scheme! 😀
— changed the theme for my featured images + color of headings. I’ve been using the font ‘Wild Youth’ from RookieCam more, and I’m transitioning into picking warm palettes for my featured images and color blocks!
— updated my Pinterest logo + page color themes. Everything’s pretty much the same aside from the color change. lol
— created category pages! My theme doesn’t support square featured images ;-; so I have to make custom pages for my blog page and the categories for them to appear the way I’d like. It took time but I’m really happy with the results!
— added my favorite album to my sidebar! I share a birthday with Mandy Moore, so why not feature her on my blog haha (also her shirt peRFECTLY matches my fall theme!!!)
— changed my profile picture! I loved that Irish book photoshoot ❤ ❤ ❤
Thanks sooo much for reading! Fall is such a gorgeous time of year and I love that my blog reflects that. (It seriously looks *scented* haha!)
