Hello! Thanks for coming by Chickadee Lover Maggie, the blog where I love to inspire creativity and laughter. I’m reviewing books today!
why I read this book:
My mom brought it home last weekend after going thrift-shopping! She thought I’d enjoy reading it because she and I have loved watching the Murder, She Wrote TV show. I knew about the book series but up until this point, I hadn’t tried to read any of them.
what I loved about this book:
Jessica Fletcher. (Literally one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.) Her interactions with Dr. Seth Hazlitt. Jessica’s home town, Cabot Cove. Unrelated to the story, but how the pages and ink of my copy smell. (hint: amazing!) The fact that the book matched the show really well and was a brilliantly-composed companion to it!
how well the mystery was spun:
I had a good idea of who was involved, but I didn’t know everything. It wasn’t all out in the open so I enjoyed reading the wrap-up Jessica did at the end with the suspects. It’s been a while since I read a mystery novel, and I appreciated that this was my first one back!
will I read more in this series:
Yes! I’m really excited about checking out more Murder, She Wrote books.
Thanks so much for reading! If you love reading mysteries, and you’re interested in seaside towns, you just might want to check out A Maine Mutiny. I really enjoyed it!
Also, before I end this post, I wanted to share a picture of the awesome bookmark I got from Penable! Phoenix lets readers download and print the epic bookmarks available on Penable, which you can look at by clicking here. I love the one below!
